Why I’m dumping Carson and Trump and supporting Ted Cruz for President

The Republican Establishment is grinning ear to ear right now. Two of the insurgent candidates are ganging up on the third in a petty effort to take him down from his leading position. It’s a sad state of affairs when just a couple of days ago things seemed so rosy for the cause of conservatism and the future of the United States of America.

It isn’t the message sent through the Ted Cruz app in Iowa on caucus night that hurt the insurgents. It was the responses. Donald Trump, who was once my favorite before I watched him lie about insulting a disabled reporter, has done his predictable tantrum calling everything unfair and attempting to cover up for his embarrassing loss in Iowa. Ben Carson, who has been my favorite ever since Trump fell from my good graces, decided that he wanted to play the victim rather than demonstrate his strength to rise above the fray.

There’s a true sadness that I’m feeling about this, now. Carson has been the moral man throughout the campaign, but his morality dropped when he decided to play the victim card. He knows very clearly that he didn’t lose 25,000 votes as a result of the message. He didn’t lose 2,500 votes. He probably didn’t lose 250 votes. In fact, it’s conspicuous that despite all of the coverage this is getting on every major new outlet, there hasn’t been a single voter who has come forth and said that they were coerced to change their vote from Carson to Cruz. I know that if I was going to vote for one candidate and a false report made me vote for a different one, I would be screaming at the top of my lungs. I’d have Bill O’Reilly, Mike Wallace, or somebody interviewing me so I could tell them what a dirty trick it was.

Nobody has. Somebody probably will at some point, but again the results in Iowa were not dramatically changed by the news. If it never happened, Cruz would still have beaten Trump by a large number and Carson would still be in single-digits.

There was some good that came out of this. Any other candidate would have turned his staffer into a scapegoat, a sacrifice to the political spinsters to draw attention away from him. Cruz has not done that. It’s shocking that he hasn’t knowing that his political future is at stake, but he has chosen to stand in front of his staffer and take hits from every angle possible. This absolutely shocked me. I still keep refreshing the news to see if he did what everybody else would do, but he hasn’t.

That’s exactly who Ted Cruz is. I’ve known it for a while and had him as my third choice, but this solidified his move to the top of my voting list. He has always stood for the conservative principles that guide him, which is why he deserves my vote. It’s easy to select a scapegoat, especially when it would be politically beneficial. It’s harder to stand alone against the tumult that comes with being a person of values.

While Trump is whining about everything and Carson is weeping over how his chances were destroyed by an evil opponent, Cruz is taking the heat and staying focused on the issues. He is emerging as the statesman that this country needs. He now has my vote.

Update: I feel even more secure about my decision after reading this article.

You’ve made the right choice Rocco. Ted is a principled man fighting a cesspool of corruption. They ‘hate’ him because he’s not going to give in while fighting for our rights and children’s future.

  2. Connie

And I thank you! Ted Cruz has always had my vote and I was even thinking/saying Cruz/Carson 2016!!! A lot of people agreed with me! Sadly, this situation has changed all that. It saddens me too when the candidates that stepped down didn’t support Ted Cruz but at least you knew where they stood. Now, Huckabee is an annoyance to me! When I saw him cuddling up to Trump and acting all mysterious and coy about who he’s giving his points to. Well now, the good in me was having a difficult task keeping the annoyance and anger from boiling over me!!! Thankfully I am better than that!!! My anger was righteous and I had every right to feel that way. I mean, Mike is supposed to be a man of God, a Christian and here he was behaving like ……..well, like Trump! My disappointment was very heartfelt. I expected much better of Mike but here he was doing this and it’s not the first time he has been more than a little disingenuous. I understand him wanting to win, it’s important. All the candidates want to win but to stoop so low and to behave this way,? Then to have Ben Carson behave in this petty self-serving way breaks my heart. Him and Mike have fallen and my respect for them has diminished. I have great faith in Ted Cruz and am very proud of him for being Good d’ good and Nobel servant.

  3. Lisa Barry

Thank you, Mr. Penn, for pointing out these important facts about Senator Cruz! I too will be voting for him because of his honesty, integrity, and godly behavior!

  4. Rich

Great post Rocco! This is exactly what I said right after this all came out. Any other candidate would have been throwing the staffer under the bus!

  5. Laurie Carleton

In the end, those of us fed up with the “establishment” in D.C. want a principled, liberty-loving, free enterprise promoting leader who will fight for us. How refreshing that you are able to see the antics of Trump and Carson to make a wise choice in Senator Ted Cruz. There is plenty of room on the Cruz bandwagon. We welcome you.

  6. Becky

My sentiments, exactly! I’ve been questioning the voter ‘flip flop’ all along and have yet to see anyone come forth and complain. Carson never had those voters in the first place. The blame for that CNN fiasco lies within Carson’s camp first and foremost. I also find it interesting how no one mentions that Rubio’s people jumped on that bandwagon, too. Everyone wants to attack the winner because they all know the Cruz missile has what it takes to actually win this crazy election and he’s the only one with any real class in the bunch.

  7. Ben Pennington

That is a really reasonable conclusion. Cruz, Paul, and Carson were the only 3 I could vote for and not have to hold my nose. Rand is already out and Carson is on the way down so Cruz is the conservative with the long consistent record. I don’t know why more people can’t see through the thin fog of what is going on.

  8. THANKS ROCCO…. Your comments hit home and all of us need to pick a leader…
Cruz and Fiorina seem to be the real leaders… you make good points… hope many read and start to make a choice… JL

  9. Dan

This is a well reasoned and thoughtful response to the toxic news going around this week. Thank you Mr. Penn for these excellent points!!

  10. Rocco, Dr. Carson has never said anything about how many of his votes were stolen. Trump did that because if Cruz stole 2,500 votes Trump would still be in 1st place. Dr. Carson went on Bill O’Reilly’s show Tuesday night because he was outraged that Cruz would use such corrupt tactics to get votes, like emailing 1,500 precients telling them to ask voters to vote for Cruz because Carson was dropping out and since they had the same principles the votes wouldn’t be wasted. He also never verified that Carson was dropping out, which should be mandatory, and sent out those illegal flyers saying that NOT VOTING WAS ILLEGAL (according to the Iowa Sec. of State) because they included the addresses of the recipients’ neighbors. Carson’s comment was that he entered the race to stop the kind of unethical and corrupt actions being taken by the entire government and the media. Don’t just read one or two blogs to make your opinion–read 10 to 15 to make sure you get the entire story. By the way, O’Reilly is also going to check it out to find out who said what or withheld what, and who started the entire treachery.

  11. Stephen Kendall

Oh Well. Cruz is better than Trump, but his campaign’s crooked style & lies are a bit much. We don’t need another such one in the White House. Putting Carson down is the norm lately. So to take the very unpopular road in not doing this, I am at least thinking beyond the blind minds of our popular zombie culture, in fact, I am looking beyond the box that everyone has been corralled into, the non-Carson box. How can everyone slowly be herded away from a man that will join the founders of this country by his love and devotion for it? You will vote for Mr. Slim Jim himself, crook and vandal or to say just status quo.

  12. Jessica Deery

Thank you Mr. Penn for articulating my heart on this issue. Although Ted Cruz has been my number one for a while now, his consistent upstanding attitude throughout this whole campaign and even before just proves to me that he truely is the right man for the job.

  13. JON RAND

Bill O’Reilly did interview him and thought Carson got the raw end of the deal. Also, Carson never said that he lost 2500 votes. Where did you get this information? Now you are going to extremes. His wife was at one of the events and said that there were some questions. What about the other 200+ caucasus that were going on? By the reports, they contacted all of them. BC handled it very well, accepting the apology, but expecting some accountability. Something that never happens in politics, as he mentioned.

  14. Nancy Perkins

Baloney. TRUMP is saying what he feels and so is Carson. They have that right. We haven’t gotten to the.bottom of this. There are more snakes in the wood pile if you ask me. Now, it’s coming out that CNN and Rubio’s crew are involved. Stay tuned. We must find out who the.double crossing is coming.from.

  15. judy

Don’t know what you’re thinking about when you say Carson is “whining” as he just wants to see these political games stopped. You are right about Carson still not winning Iowa but that has not been his point. This kind of stuff just needs to stop in the election process. I agree. Cruz is okay but no more or less moral than Carson or conservative. Ben accepted his apology.

  16. Deborah Porter

Of course you are right, Mr. Penn. If you watch Ted Cruz carefully, from the very beginning, he has shown extraordinary leadership qualities. How many crafty politicians who are in the whole thing for their own gain would stand alone in the Senate and fight alone – not only against the Democrats but their own party elite? Ted Cruz did and continues to do so. He was the one who invited Donald Trump to the rally in D.C. to protest the horrendous nuclear “deal” with the Iranians, not the other way around. Ted Cruz has a clear consistent record for all to see. Donald Trump, along with Rubio, would be willing to make “deals” with the Democrats all day long. Haven’t we tried that already? We need an extraordinary man for extraordinary times. America is at a crossroads. We dare not make another mistake. There is too much at stake. We must ask ourselves – what did I do when the future of my country was on the line? Did I stand up to be counted? Our forefathers shed their blood for our freedom. The least we can do is to speak out for liberty. We need someone with a moral compass and spine of steel and there is only one that fills that bill – Ted Cruz. Pray for America. We need a miracle and God may just hear our prayers, before we fall into the abyss.

  17. Jimmyjo

Good to have all we can get to put the truth out and not let the only person running that dnt lie every other word. It’s ridiculous

  18. G.James

Thank-you Rocco , i hope you message here go’s viral on every social media outlet possible.I have been a Cruz supporter ever since he stood on the Senate floor and pleaded to have Kate’s Law passed so no more innocent victims will be shot down by illegal felons only to see the detestable Harry Reid block it and stop it from passing.

I will note that is was Donald Trump who supported and donated to Harry Reid’s re-election campaign in helping him to defeat an up and coming Tea Party Conservative who would have voted for Kate’s Law. So the next time Trump says “Poor Kate Steinle” some-one should shout out “You have her blood on your hands for supporting Harry Reid”.

  19. Ben Pennington

Ben never said that he accepted Ted’s apology and the continued interviews with Ben Carson afterwards talking about this further show that Ben has not forgiven Ted for something that his people did. Rubio’s people did the same thing but, since Rubio is Fox News’ preferred candidate then they won’t even talk about that. Carson knows that Cruz himself does not condone what happened and he should have accepted the apology and shown his true character. Carson has instead shown his true character in a bad way.

  20. Good decision!

Whenever Ted Cruz faces a problem, he responds with integrity and priciple, NOT political expediency.

That is just one of the vary many qualities that conforms to us over and over again, that Ted Cruz is far and away the very best choice we have to attempt to save the Republic from oblivion.

  21. Dennis Smith

Before the night is over after reading this article some Trump supporter will claim just what you said. Ted Cruz for President.

  22. RJ

I thought he was principled until it came out that he lied when he said his campaign had nothing to do with rumors. His app sent out messages before King did. I am so sad to find out the person I thought was honest is a liar like the rest of the Washington crowd.

  23. Linda Schurig

I agree. Ted Cruz is so sincere ,honest, and steadfast in his conservative values. I pray he wins. Our country needs him. We need to get back to our Constitutional values.

  24. Jean

Then Ben should probably not have a staffer giving CNN this kind of news that they could distort and run with. If I was running for office and the breaking news moments before a vote says my opponent will not be going on to N.H. or S.C. but going home to Florida, I would want to be the first to get those lost votes as well. Are you saying you wouldn’t? That’s good politics. Actually, Rubio did it first but you won’t see the media say that against their “golden boy”. Cruz being Cruz apologized although he did not have to. Rubio on the other hand stood up and trashed the Cruz campaign for doing exactly what he did. If you want a snake in the grass, he’s your guy.

  25. Sassygeorgiegirl

thanks for posting. I’m glad you saw the difference. This Carson-Gate is ridiculous especially when Rubio did the same thing; yet, the media is protecting him. Here is Trump, now claiming that Carson is a wonderful man, when he once likened him to a pedophile and pathological. I’m really beginning to think something is wrong with Carson’s campaign. Something is not sitting right. The way his campaign is blowing through money-I read 88% burn rate, nothing is being run well. He’s going on book signings while others are campaigning for votes in states that matter. It’s very strange.

  26. Welcome aboard. I have never supported Trump, but I had a soft spot in my heart for Carson. His reaction to this and the email I just got from him is very disappointing. I thought he was better than that.

    I’m 100% behind Cruz now.

  27. Sassygeorgiegirl

They simply tweeted what the CNN report said. You should read a timeline. It’s very telling. Cruz team didn’t lie. In fact, Rubio team did the same thing. Carson is not running a campaign. You don’t go to NY and CA when you should be campaigning in Iowa. You don’t go to FL and DC when you should be in NH and SC. He’s not running for President. He’s running for branding and book sales. (And I’ve been to a book signing). Don’t be fooled. The media is trying to bring Cruz down to bump Rubio and keep ratings with the Trump rant. Please really look at the timeline. There are some great sites out there-even Rush talks about it on his website.

  28. juansantiago

Well spoken! The forces of evil, physical and spiritual, are mad as hell right now and trying to take down Ted Cruz with every evil trick they can devise. I am watching closely, and Sen. Cruz is behaving honorably. And I have watched him in Congress, and he has behaved as a fighter, even if he has to do it alone. Isn’t that what we Christians are supposed to do – the right thing even if no one else does? Rock on, Sen. Cruz. I will fight on his behalf with every weapon that comes into my hands. God bless America, Israel and Sen. Cruz.

  29. Please tell me you are not serious. “We don’t want facts we want Cruz”. Seriously? You are one of the underinformed voters that makes it possible for people like Obama and Clinton to get elected.

  30. Finally, a comment that actually makes sense. Dr. Carson didn’t play the victim–he was the victim of dirty politics. That was one of the reasons he joined this race, to try to eliminate the crap and win on honesty and platforms and beliefs. He has made his position clear and not once did he claim that it cost him votes. Only that it was dirty politics. Trump is the one screaming about lost votes and law suits. Dr Carson is a man of class. He is wise, humble, intelligent, a critical thinker and a problem solver. I watched Ted Cruz do an interview earlier in the campaign and he bragged that he could not get a single Senator to work with him. Not to second a motion or cosign a bill. If he can’t work within the Senate of the United States as a Republican Senator, how can he possibly work with a divided congress for 4 years and accomplish anything? Donald Trump is a successful business man because he is ruthless. He is always looking out for his own best interests. Is that what we want in our president? Dr. Carson is a healer, a care giver. His quiet soft spoken personality puts people at ease and makes them more open to listening to what he has to say. He is the man that can heal our country. He doesn’t get up on a podium everyday and list what is wrong with this country, he comes up with ways to fix the problems. He has a tax plan, an immigration plan, a plan to pay off the national debt, and a plan to combat ISIS. please take a serious look at this man. he doesn’t just say that he is a Christian Conservative, he shows it by the way he lives his life.

  31. Supporting Ted Cruz is just asking for things to continue the way they are going. The question to ask yourself is, “are you satisfied with the way your country is going right now”? If you answer yes then by all means support Cruz. If you answered no then think about this. Cruz, Rubio and Paul and sitting senators in a Republican controlled Senate but still couldn’t stop the Iran deal from going through or pass a bill to defund planned parenthood. Doesn’t anyone else see what’s wrong with this big picture? The United States Congress has over 9000 accumulative years of experience and look where it has gotten us. We need to clean house. We need to put term limits in place and start with a president that was not a politician. Allow our country to be run by a Stateman the way our founding fathers intended. Ben Carson for President 2016.

  32. Why doesn’t anyone bring up Trump negatives? Are they afraid of him? What about Trump University? It is a scandal as bad as Benghazi yet the news media and Republican candidates don’t bring it up. It is on record that Trump was part of a scheme to scam retirees. The scammers got rich in Trump’s name, the people lost their life savings and Trump has done nothing to help them!

  33. lynne thompson

Rocco, I admired the hell out of Ted. When his position on no ethanol subsidiaries made him very unpopular with a large voting group (farmers), Ted never tried to understate or diminish his position. Ted, even though it may well have cost him a valuable voting block, never pandered in the least. Ted, with his in-depth knowledge of the issues, Ted being the most substantive candidate in the race, and Trump being the least, Ted won over the farmer who came right at him in an aggressive way. That clip was incredible and a testimony to Cruz’ character and integrity. IMO the other candidates are ‘common’, Cruz is an exceptional man, and Cruz will restore honor to the White House and to our nation.

  34. Linda Weinmunson

You are mistaken. What candidate in their right mind goes home for “a change of clothes”. Everyone was speculating that he was dropping out. Cruz didn’t have to apologize, but he did. He also could have thrown his staffer under the bus to deflect away from himself. He didn’t do that. I think you should reconsider your misgivings.

  35. Jennifer

Thank you for acknowledging the incontrovertible fact that Ted Cruz is a man of principles and sound ethics.

  36. Courtney Cambern

In this WHOLE Bru-ha-ha,why is it Cruz’s fault? Shouldn’t Ben Carson fire – since he has demanded someone’s head to roll – the MORON fromhis own campaign that let it slip that Carson was headed home after Iowa…and in front of a CNN reporter, no less???? THEN everyone, including Congressman King had to see the follow up tweet from some obscure reporter to get the whole story??? How can you expect that???? Cruz is playing to win…NOT for his resume, BUT FOR “WE THE PEOPLE” and that gloroious Republic of the United States!!!!

  37. Angel Nova

This is a good article Rocco and thank you for cementing my vote for Ted. I knew and followed him since his run for the senate in Texas and I prayed then that he would consider the office of President. He is the right man for the job and will save our country. Unlike Marco, Ted is honest , with integrity , and brilliant.

  38. Lynda

This is my first visit to this site … but definitely not my last.
Love this article and love your comment. I too was pushing a Cruz/Carson ticket long before Carson entered the race. To say I am disheartened by his behavior over this issue would be a gross understatement.

Huckananny did not surprise me at all. During the 2008 campaign I did a lot of research on him and was shocked there was even one conservative supporting him.

Another shocker was Rick Santorum. He cannot name one Rubio accomplishment, but supported him. Not that Rick’s or Mike’s endorsements mean much, but still sad.

    I’m CRUZ’n to Victory!

  39. Nancy

Thank you for this post! This Virginia Cruz supporter is motivated more than ever. Anyone can see this attack is not driven by the extra delegate that would not have made a different. Carson has been Trumped.

  40. Craig Dunstan

Outstanding article! Cruz has always been my first choice. For those who say he can’t even work with his fellow senators consider this! Once he becomes president those same senators will be put on notice that “We The People” have spoken! If they don’t want to be replaced they had better start working with this President or plan on losing their next election.

  41. Steve

A quote from Mr. Cruz ” I am a Christian first. I am an American second. I’m a conservative third. And I’m a Republican fourth. And I’ll tell ya, there are a lot of Americans who feel the same way.” NOT THE PERSON THAT CAN REPRESENT ALL THE PEOPLE

  42. DLT

Real proof of hypocrisy in action. Your cynical disparaging commentary obviously spun to obfuscate the underhanded tactics of the Cruz campaign places way too much import to the Iowa results. It’s as if you are part and parcel of the Cruz effort, caught manipulating outcomes through propagating misinformation. Keep it up, we are paying attention and appreciate knowing who is playing the same political games to force a minority outcome into a perceived surge. Don’t be surprised by the resulting drop of Cruz in popularity because of idiots like you that think you pulled the wool over our eyes.

  43. Doris

On the other hand, I was appalled at the way Trump turned his back on his own daughter, Ivanka, who had led the fight on his behalf in Iowa. When he took stage for his “concession” speech he only acknowledge his sons and families on the left. I think Trump in his petty way, held Ivanka responsible for his loss. Trump has to always blame somebody else. I also agree with your comments about Ben. The victim card was poorly played. He went into Iowa with his campaign already in tatters. He blamed Cruz’ s staffer for passing on bad information that originated with his OWN staffer. Bad move, Ben. Accountability begins at home.

  44. Aden

We had over 400 people at my caucus location I along with four other Cruz captains. None of us ever even heard about it and certainly didn’t ask anyone to change there vote!!! Other than speaking for Ted Cruz and telling for everyone why they to should vote for Ted.

Think you all need to go back and look at old Teddy a little closer as he is the typical status quo of slimy politicians and you have obviously not paid attention to his campaign.
In the begining before knowing more about creepy Teddy, thought he might be someone I might vote for, but when he was so far down in the polls and started flip-flopping, started my research, and like Rubio, they are Not in it found America or us, her Legal citizens!
To change your mind because you Think Trump made fun of the disabled reporter, whom he Never met, then you were never a Trump supporter to begin with.
Moreover, Trumps space after Iowa was the most gracious and eloquent of any of the candidates and Cruz’s long drawn out “I’m so great speach” made me want to puke.
But sorry people, old Teddy Boy knew exactly what he did in Iowa and to sweep it under the rug and give this Real slime ball a pass again, is disgusting!
No, Carson would not have jumped to the front, but for you to state emphatically that You know he wouldn’t have gone up enough to make a difference is complete ignorance and stupidity.
Cruz Did change the outcome, Cruzy boy was behind in the polls, Rubio was not in double digits and when Cruz pulled his slimy move, the people that heard this and thought it to be true and could be easily swayed, put their votes to Cruz and Rubio, pushing them up .
Again, reports Did come out that people were duped and moreover, these record Crowds came out for Trump, NBC had reported that early in the day, and some said they came for Carson.
But if you want to keep the status quo, another bought and paid for person who Will do the Will of his donors, Not the Legal citizens of America, from a man married to Goldman-Sacks insider and has gotten big donations from them, then you are no better then the morons who voted for Obama!

  47. K2

Haha, you can’t be one, married to someone who works for Goldman-Sacks, and takes big donations from them, and say he is a “principled man!”
You must have voted Obama twice if you believe that!

  50. K2

Really, well, I say you have not paid attention, and you should do some Real homework on this status quo sleazeball politician.
Even in one of his campaign commercials with his mother, she even had to give him a double look when he lied on camera, yea, he’s a great guy, even his kids don’t want him touching them.
Trumps kids and grandkids can’t wait to be around him and how your children treat you, shows the character of the man.

  51. Jan

Ben Carson DID accept Ted Cruz’s apology. I’ve heard him accept the apology in several interviews and read it in several articles. How can you make such a statement that he didn’t accept his apology when it is on the record that he did? He then states that he still thinks there should be accountability for this from the Cruz camp. That was Dr. Carson’s concern. His emphasis has not been on the number of votes lost because of this (that was Trump’s doing). Dr. Carson’s emphasis has been on the accountability of anyone who would run with this rumor based on ASSUMPTIONS rather than check it out first. Since when is it okay to run a campaign, a business, a government, anything based on assumptions? That’s one thing wrong in our society today. No one is held accountable for their actions.

  52. K2

Wow, so your standards and Teddies are superior to Huckabees and Carson? Really!
Let me start with Carson, do not ever sit there on your pious high-horse abd say that if someone deceitfully manipulated and stole votes from you, you would just go tip toeing through the tulips, because you would, no one would!
Huckabee Is a great guy and has stayed consistant with his stance since he first ran in 2008 and that is what he sees in Trump, a man of his word, who has not flip-flopped, and wants to make America A great country again.
Huckabee has been around a long time and he knows a snotty nosed, bought and paid for deceitful, lying, slimy, status quo, flip-flopper, who will say abd do Anything, to get elected, when he sees one.

  53. Jan

So are you saying it is okay to act on speculations and assumptions? Without checking out the facts? If it is okay in this case and nothing is done about it, then what is to stop people from basing anything they do on assumptions? Would you be okay with people doing that in your business or even in your own personal life? …..Should Carson’s camp have announced that he was going home for a few days? Maybe not. But their comment was misconstrued and then spread throughout the Cruz camp (and maybe the Rubio camp as well?) like wildfire, and people were told to try to get people on Carson’s team to vote for Cruz. Based on a speculation/assumption. Would Cruz want others to act based on assumptions of any kind about his campaign? I doubt it.

  54. Deborah Porter

My feelings exactly. Unfortunately, we are seeing many of the masks come off during this election. So sad that a lot of so-called “conservatives” are casting their lots with Trump or even Rubio. What in the world has happened to Sarah Palin and Jerry Falwell Jr.? It is mystifying and makes me angry also; but I know that God is in control! Pray for Senator Cruz and his family. All the knives are coming for them.

  55. Alvin Mullins

I know it’s difficult managing life without your meds but you should really try harder to stay on them.

  56. Ginny

Here is a concentrated recap reported by a precinct that ignored these voicemail contacts and voted appropriately without voters having the purported information.

****All based on the rumor that Carson was leaving/suspending his campaign****

7:29 Iowa hotline VM to precincts “…to urge voters to caucus for Cruz.”

7:07 TX VM to precincts “…to not WASTE votes on Carson, but instead caucus for Cruz.”

6:56 Email from Spence “…to urge to caucus for Cruz.”

    But….
6:53 Carson clarified that he was NOT leaving the race.

6:44 report by CNNs Chris Moody stated explicitly that Carson NOT leaving campaign, as well as the statement about ‘going to FL before going on to DC (prayer breakfast) and NH.’

Now tell me this disparage in time is not intentional!

If Dr. Carson is seeking accountability, then why is he not bringing attention to the other campaigns that did the same thing? By singling out Cruz and making no mention of the other campaigns who did the same, it is coming across as a smear campaign. It pains me to say this, as I have been a big supporter of Dr. Carson. But if he was going after everybody who participated in the distributing of misinformation, then it would be easy to see that it is about accountability and integrity. But by only going after one guy, singling him out, and continuing to harp on it, it seems like a smear.

Wait… Ted Cruz? The same guy who screamed from the rooftops that Barack Obama wasn’t qualified to be POTUS because he wouldn’t produce a birth certificate to prove he was born in America? The Ted Cruz that was born in Canada?
    That Ted Cruz?

    Sorry, but it’s not fake!
If it was “fake” why would Teddy Boy apologize?
You people are either very dumb, or you just don’t care about truly getting someone in that is not the status quo slime ball politician, or you’re all plants put up by Cruz to make people think everyone is turning to Cruzy boy.
But here Are the True facts on Cruzy and all are verifiable…

I agree with you completely, ecept for what you think of Mr.Trump, you don’t get to where he is being ruthless.
Moreover, you can always tell a man’s character by their children, and his children all love him, are classy, and All want to work with him and that is rare.
All his employees have nothing but good to say about him (though I am waiting for them to dig up that one or two who will say he was horrible, you can’t please everyone and there is always someone who is never happy), he has been in the limelight since he was in his twenties and not one piece of negative anything has been found.
Trump doesn’t drink, nor go to wild parties, he has always held himself to be a classy gentleman, even to his ex-wives. .
Mr. Trump in my opinion is the only one who will get people to work together, that’s his Forte and the fact that the deals will be good for America.
I love Carson, great man, but his soft voice and demeanor is more suited to being a doctor and see him as Surgeon General.

  69. K2

Oh, so now being deceitful is okay in politics, if it’s Cruzy boy, just not the other candidates.
Also, Carson people did not tell CNN, and yes, Rubio has been talked about too, as to his donor, Microsoft, doing the counting and tabulating of the votes.
The one that really hasn’t been spoke about much, is the millionth scandal with Hillary and her voter fraud.
But here, click the link below, and learn about old Cruzy boy, and all are completely verifiable.

Guess you missed that news cast where Carson Did accept Cruzy boys apology, but that didn’t change the fact to what happened.
What Cruz, Rubio and Hillary all got caught doing, is what Trump and Ben have been against the entire time. Plus it’s principles, morales, and honesty, that is at issue.
With all the talk Trump and Ben did on voter fraud, I would have thought they would have been a little afraid to take that chance. But when you have those big donation backers and you want that title and glory, you just don’t care and you will do it anyway…
