Did Clinton blow her shot at the White House with the email decision?

When Hillary Clinton prepared to begin her tenure as Secretary of State in 2008, there is very little doubt that she was eyeing 2016 as her next attempt at the White House. She was just coming off of a stinging defeat in the Democratic primaries to President Barack Obama after leading for most of the early stages of the election season. Now, it appears that the same fate may await her.

This time, it isn’t a rising star that is forcing her from achieving her goals. The Democratic field is considerably weaker than it was back then with socialist Bernie Sanders as her primary opponent and an undeclared Vice President Joe Biden making waves before even deciding. This time, it’s the decision she made to have a personal email server instead of using the government-supplied email that everyone else seems willing to use. That decision is calling into question her decision-making abilities, judgment, and paranoia.

Her campaign aides are worried that it may be coming back to bite them harder than anyone anticipated.

The amusing part (or disheartening, depending on your opinion of the candidate) is that her claim is that she wanted to use the server so she wouldn’t have to carry around a second phone. A decision made for the sake of convenience could end Hillary Clinton’s political career.
