Iranian warship aimed guns at U.S. helicopter… for the pictures

Two weeks ago, an Iranian frigate aimed its deck machine guns at a US helicopter landing on a coalition ship. What was perceived as a possible threat switched to a strange tension when the helicopter pilots noticed that there was a cameraman standing behind the gunner on the Iranian ship.

The Middle East country is known for being provocative with their video propaganda, often positioning their military with strength against opposing forces. The US forces also photographed the incident but have not released them.

According to CNN:

The entire incident lasted about a minute with no shots being fired and no action taken by the coalition warship. The U.S. helicopter stuck to its plan as well and left the deck on schedule, the official said. The official declined to identify the nationality of the coalition warship but said the Iranian warship was a regular Iranian Navy Vosper-class frigate.
