Rugged Notebooks Make Being Careful Not as Important

One of the biggest problems with laptops is durability.  They are ultra-convenient and offer ways for people to to continue to do business from just about anywhere in the world.  Data, presentations, and just general work are made easier through the use of laptops.

Personally, I use my laptop 10 times more often than either desktop.

But, the durability issue always seems to creep up, especially for those who travel a lot.  One solution, as pointed out in this article on Tech Science Review, are rugged laptops.  Originally made as a way for the military to have laptops available on the battle field that could withstand harsh conditions and rough use, they have expanded to the mainstream for business warriors and battle students.

Performance CAN be an issue, as they are normally less powerful than comparably priced normal laptops, but there are some in the $1k range that are quite powerful.

In today’s world where travel and connectivity are walk hand-in-hand, having a laptop that is both durable and effective can be the difference between success and failure.  While there are many rugged and semi-rugged notebooks on the market, price can be an issue to consider.

Story continues at Tech Science Review about tough notebooks.
