Over 250 Americans have joined terror groups and many have made it back

In a bipartisan effort, the House Homeland Security Committee conducted a review over six months that determined the administration has failed to stop approximately 250 Americans who have traveled overseas to join terror groups.

The final report concluded that hundreds of Americans who have sought to travel to Syria and Iraq, only a fraction of them have been prohibited.

Although several people were identified and arrested this year trying to return to the United States, the report accused the Obama administration of not having a strategy to identify all who try to return to commit terror attacks, saying that several dozen have managed to make it back to America.

A National Security Analyst for the Clarion Project, professor Ryan Mauro, made a chilling statement when he said, “If the fighting in Afghanistan brought us 9/11, think of what the fighting in Syria and Iraq will bring us.”
