Satanic cult practices likely involved in Florida triple homicide

Last week’s blue moon brought more than astronomers and stargazers out to see. Apparently, it brought some sort of cult killers to play in Pensacola, Florida, leaving three people dead in what officials are calling a likely “ritualistic killing” style.

77-year-old Voncile Smith and her sons, 49-year-old Richard Thomas Smith and 47-year-old John William Smith, were said to be extremely reclusive. Neighbors who had been in the area for a long time said they had never met anyone in the family. The killing likely took place Thursday night, the evening before the rare blue moon celestial event. Police wouldn’t go so far as to claim that it was a form of witchcraft or satanic ritual. In fact, they chose their words with proper political correctness intact.

“There are different factions of (witchcraft). While it doesn’t bother me to release that particular thing, I most assuredly do not want to defame or demean any particular practice,” Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan said.

There was no sign of forced entry or robbery. Police indicated that a person of interest has been questioned, but no arrests have been made nor charges filed.

According to WJBF:

According to authorities, all three bodies were found beaten with claw hammers. All three had their throats slit, and the mother was found with a gunshot wound to the head or neck area.
