Real Tools to Get You to the Digg Front Page

This article on Soshable details the REAL story about the REAL tools that help Digg power-users make it to the top, and more importantly, the front page on a regular basis.

You have to have strong sources, a great and responsive feed reader, a good IM list and technique for using it, plus more.  While there are many programs and websites that promise Digg fame and fortunes, if you really want to make it to the top (or make it at all) these “tools” are designed for you.

One of the best parts about my job is that I get to talk to a lot of the top users over at Digg.  This is important because the Digg algorithm is always in a constant state of tweak (a statement that can be construed properly several different ways).  It changes as fast as, if not faster than, Google and other search engines.  Two questions always pop up with either me asking top users or other users asking me:

“What does it take to get to the front page?”

The answer has two parts: time and tools.  We can go into the time issue later, but for now, let’s assume that you have the time.  The second question is:

“What are the right tools?”

Story continues at Soshable about the Digg Tools.

Wow great post. Digg has always baffled me a bit so this was a helpful intro to what the pro’s are doing behind the scenes.
