The Balance Between Catching More Fish and Keeping the Ecosystem Strong

Things above the water are often easier to understand than those things that happen in the seas. Because of the vastness, it’s impossible to know when there are plenty of fish in an area to be caught and when catching too many fish can lead to an ecological collapse. The balance is a gentle one and very difficult to predict.

In this motion graphic video, the National Aquarium shows what’s happening and offers solutions to make it easier to keep the right balance. With food shortages pulling in one direction and environmental concerns pulling in the other, this is an important issue that requires proper actions.
