The International Space Station looks spectacular against the Sun

The International Space Station (ISS) has been circling us overhead for a long time and most people have never seen it. An opportunity arose and one photographer decided to take it, capturing it in five different positions as it crossed between the earth and the Sun.

Bill Ingalls took the composite of five different shots at the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The NASA photogrpaher was able to capture the fast moving vehicle as it crossed at more than 17,000 MPH.
