The spin in Washington DC is often hard to comprehend. It is usually shrouded in complexities and nuances that disguise intent. In the case of Democratic Senators voting down a bill that would punish illegal aliens and the areas that give them sanctuary, the motives are crystal clear.

It’s not that they are against saving the lives of people like Kate Steinle or that they want to allow criminals like Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez. It’s that they see the murder of Steinle by Lopez-Sanchez as collateral damage in their quest to acquire a super-majority of voters.
Any legislation that makes it harder for illegal immigrants to cross the border or easier for law enforcement to fight them goes contrary to benefits the Democratic party reaps. Since the majority of immigrants vote Democrat, protecting American citizens is secondary to them.

Americans of any background who are here legally should be appalled by these actions. They should forcefully and definitively send a message to Washington DC that allowing violent illegal immigrants to roam the streets of America for the sake of gaining more Democratic voters is utterly appalling.
