Look, I get it. Political spin is a necessary evil for politicians, especially if they’re running for President of the United States. However, there comes a point when you have to start seeing through the lies and focus on the facts. That’s something that Hillary Clinton is banking on Americans not doing.
While onĀ This Week with her great palĀ George Stephanopoulos, she reiterated that she didn’t lie to the families when she continuously claimed that their sons were killed based upon a spontaneous attack in Benghazi. Her emails demonstrate otherwise, but the spin machine is telling her to point to her 11-hour marathon hearing and the fact that somehow the American people should trust her based upon her history.
That’s funny.
There’s an important point to remember about this narrative. The emails she sent out said that she believed these were terrorists attacks. After all, news from the ground gave no indication that it was spontaneous. It happened on 9/11, the anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center. The group was heavily armed with siege weapons like rocket launchers. Perhaps most damning is that there were no emails that rescinded her claims that it was a terrorist attack. In fact, there were no undeleted emails that talked much about the events whatsoever.
Now, she’s spinning the spin and hoping that people will just let it go.

This is something that Bernie Sanders should grab onto if he were smart, but it’s becoming more and more clear that he would rather lose than attack Clinton for the liar that she is.
